If the leash is not needed anymore, the elastic material is being retracted and is readjusted to the shape of the collar.

Just pull the collar’s strap to put the dog on the leash and have him perfectly under control. As soon as the leash is beeing released it withdraws into the collar again to grant the dog immediate freedom of movement and the dog owner absolutely free hands.
